About the role

As a Business Controller, you will be the financial business partner for our commercial activities Consumer Products and Food Ingredients. You play an essential role in helping to drive the efficiency of our business. You will identify process improvements and be able to implement them, build business cases, and play a role in strategic, organizational projects. You achieve this by providing new insights and acting as sparring partner with various stakeholders. In your role you challenge when necessary and contribute with impact! Additionally, you will work closely with various departments, including marketing, IT, and customer service.

You have the following responsibilities:

  • Strategic Insights & Advisory: Work closely with senior management, offering financial analysis and recommendations to guide business decisions including support on M&A. Your insights will help us scale efficiently and effectively.
  • Business partnering with our commercial activities, be the main point of contact from a finance perspective.
  • Business improvement projects: with a strong focus on productivity, cost reduction, margin and process improvement and materializing commercial opportunities.
  • Cash flow optimization: managing working capital to support our growing operations. You will keep us balanced and ready for the next wind of opportunity!
  • Prepare financial reports and presentations: support management and business in financial & KPI steering.
  • Analyze and interpret financial data to identify trends, issues, risks, and opportunities.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers and employees on financial matters, such as budgeting, cost control, and financial planning.

You will report to the CFO.

Requirements

  • You have a completed university education, or higher, with a numerical or strategic focus.
  • Having an RC/EMFC is a plus.
  • 5-8 years of experience in a similar role.
  • In depth knowledge of corporate finance, management accounting and reporting.
  • Experience in M&A, FMCG and/or food commodities is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills.
  • Outstanding communication and people skills.
  • Commercial sensitivity.
  • Proactive and pragmatic approach to get things done.
  • Fluency in English, Dutch is a big plus.
