World Food Safety Day

On World Food Safety Day, we at DO IT ORGANIC reflect on the importance of food safety. During the Food Law Event organized by VMT, our Quality Engineer Willem Kortland led a session on navigating NVWA inspections. Willem shared insights, discussing both the challenges and successes our company experiences in food safety.

Quality Engineer Willem Kortland shares his insights

In his session, Willem delved into the differences between inspections and audits, and the importance of maintaining good relationships with regulatory authorities. The event focused on the latest legislation and changes, with an emphasis on allergen management, packaging, and sustainability. The rules are becoming increasingly strict, presenting challenges for innovation in the sector.

"At DO IT ORGANIC, we are committed to a culture of food safety. Regular contact with the NVWA and strong internal communication help us uphold these standards. We have implemented advanced allergen management systems and strict hygiene protocols while prioritizing sustainability. This approach is essential as our production and brand awareness continue to grow." - says Willem K.

The biggest challenge?

The biggest challenge lies in adhering to stricter allergen regulations while scaling up our production. Additionally, we are working on further digitization and structuring our processes to ensure efficiency and safety. Continuous training and support for our employees are crucial to our success.

Despite the increasing complexity and stringency of regulations, we at DO IT ORGANIC remain dedicated to delivering safe, high-quality ingredients and products while prioritizing sustainability in all our food safety practices. Through continuous improvement, we ensure that we not only meet current requirements but also exceed them.

The need for food safety remains high

Food safety remains a crucial topic for any company in the sector, requiring constant forward-thinking. On this special day in light of Food Safety, we recommend staying proactive and progressive in navigating new regulations and laws.
